About the event
Legends of the East – The Levant, the Atlas & the Nile is an intimate Middle Eastern cultural event in Ottawa, bringing together live vocals, oud, percussion, and timeless Arab music in an elegant theatre experience.
Taking place at the University of Ottawa Auditorium, this event features a live performance by Rima Telmun, accompanied by oud and percussion, in a heartfelt tribute to three of the most iconic voices in Arab music: Fairuz, Warda, and Oum Kalthoum.
This is more than just a concert — it is a celebration of Arab culture, music, memory, and identity, designed to honour the legendary women whose voices shaped generations across the Levant, North Africa, Egypt, and the wider Arab world.
